It took a whole day but I'm so happy that I made them! They came out so cute. Definitely not perfect, like if we would have bought them, but less expensive and kinda fun!

If you 're really interested in making it a business start making them for everything! I've been making them fir birthdays and fair wells at work and I randomly got an email from someone at work I'm doing her kids halloween class gifts, and her fathers 70th birthday favors.

Since some of you are interested in making them, although I wish I could say it was all my idea (LOL), I got all the info from the book Cake Pops by Bakerella.

She gives great tips throughout the book about the different flavors you can choose, melting chocolates and so on. The cake pops are the easiest to make bc you just have to get a boxed cake, bake it, then crumble it up and mix it with frosting. The hardest part was decorating - not to mention the process takes several hours. But in the end, you will definitely be happy with it!

Just keep in mind, this is NOT a 'cheap' treat. I made just about 130 pops (65 brides, 65 grooms) and that was 3 cake boxes and 3 frostings. I needed about 8-9 lbs of melting chocolate - which cost about $45 (that's the most expensive part). You need black candy coloring - I used a whole bottle to make it black. And the sprinkles (white pearls for the bride necklace).
The book says to get black heart sprinkles for the bowtie...however, I went to every store possible and couldn't find them. So, I bought colorful heart sprinkles and painted them black with candy coloring. It was messy and a pain, so I'd probably try to order them online next time.

These look fabulous! I contemplated making them but was too intimated and ran out of time. Maybe I will try to make them for something else!
