Philadelphia question (especially Aliciahelene for suggesting it)
What do you do there? How long does it take to get there?

I grew up 15 minutes outside Phila in South Jersey--- and lived in Phila for three years before moving to LI. It will take you about 2 1/2 to 3 hours from LI to get there....
It is the most awesome city! You have all of the historical stuff-- Liberty Bell, Betsey Ross House, Elfreths Alley....and more
You also have the Art Museum ( Rocky ran up the stairs ) lol
The nightlife is great -- Delaware Ave is a street right on the Delaware River -- lined with outdoor bars and nightspots! So much fun...
The food is also second to none!! So many wonderful resturaunts.
Phila is like a ' small town feel' wrapped up in a big city ! Hopefully my husband and I can move back there one day ! I love it and MISS it ! There is nothing like it !

Sunny...we love Philadelphia!!!! You can get GREAT rates on hotwire and expedia etc. Weve stayed at the Hyatt right on the water for 75 bucks a night! We live in NJ..so we go ALOT..it takes us less than two hours....the nightlife is great..south street is so much fun and there is something there for everyone..it has over 100 bars on it, over 300 shopping stores..you just walk along and go from place to place, bar to bar if you are into that! We are!! There are lost of places right along the water to eat and drink and now there are water taxis to get you from place to place, those are relatively new...theres alot of history if you are into that..the liberty bell, the rocky steps, where they signed the Declaration of independence, Ben Franklins house and Betsy Ross' house.. weve done the tours when family is visting, but for the most part, we like just hangin by the water and going out, lots of clubs, GREAT restaurants, great shopping..we love that city! There are so many great places to eat!!! Let me know if you need more info!!
