Phone or Email?

Original post by usuk2004

Do you prefer to conduct business via phone or email?

I prefer email, but sometimes I feel so guilty about it.

I like email until the person on the other end just doesn't get it! Then I have to call them.

E-mail all the way!!!

The phone rings at night and I hide! Talking on the phone lasts too long. At night I want to be quick. With an e-mail I can type it up and shut down the computer.

ETA: Stupid me can't read... Maybe I shouldn't put e-mail! I just read about conducting business...I will keep my answer the same...e-mail. Got to have it in writing!!! CYA!

definitly e-mail. It's quicker, and it's a permanent record. I've been saved MANY times because I pulled an e-mail here at work to back up something I did. I hardly ever use my phone for work related things, unless it's just so silly that it's not worth an e-mail. I feel guilty too sometimes, but e-mail is just easier!

Email. It's great having everything in writing.

Me Too!!!! Which is kind of a problem since I work in PR and I'm supposed to be a 'people person'

WHen I call someone I always feel like I'm bothering them, especially when I call their cell. But in my line of work, when you go to your boss and say I left him a message, you're inevitably going to be met with Did you try his cell? And people haven't seemed to master the turning your phone off when you don't want to be bothered function...they're always cranky when you call...
