As a hobby photographer myself, the FIRST thing i looked at in terms of wedding planning was the photography. I was DEAD SET on using Brett Matthews because I fell in love with their work...they provide incredible images, and I can say that with 100% confidence as someone who critiques images as part of my job.

A high school friend of mine used them for her wedding at De Seversky and the pictures were breathtaking....however when I asked her for a review, she said that while she loved the final products, they were a bit pompous (celeb name dropping) and weren't all that pleasant to work with.

I would HIGHLY recommend Janelle Brooke Photography. They create STUNNING images and she is an absolute pleasure to work with. I've heard nothing but great things and am so happy i'll be having her handle our photography. There have been no doubts about her whatsoever.

I've also heard decent things about Lighthouse and Duet. ***** i heard produces great images but one of the venue managers mentioned that he used them for his engagement shoot and wouldn't recommend them because he felt uncomfortable during the shoot and didn't feel 'directed' enough.
