Other qualifications

Make sure you see more than one picture album. If you see an album you like, ask which photographer shot the album and request him for your event. Make sure you see the photographer's name in the contract (if you're about to sign one).

Ask to see ALL packages, and make sure you take notes on the prices for each package and what it includes. They don't like giving people the information for you to take home.
