guaranteed # of proofs

# of hours the photog will be with you, and overtime charges (if they apply)

any travel fee?

# of photos in each album (if you're getting albums)

are the proofs stamped w/ the company name

what size are the proofs

digital or film

who is the exact photog you'll have

payment schedule, methods of payment accepted

.....that's all i can think of off the top of my head at 5am - lol- but there's more! Someone help her out, please

i agree with all of the above....also find how

# of proofs they usually take on average

do they do posed, candids and photojournalistic?

will the person you are speaking with be taking the photos?

how many photographers? do you get an assistant?

engagement session? is it extra? included?

how much is the deposit?

how long does it normally take after the wedding to get your proofs?

do they do black&white? sepia? color?

Digital or film?

can you buy the negatives or files ? if so how much?

what size albums do they offer? if so how many pics do you get with the album?

How much addl is it if you want more pictures in the album?

traditional photo mat album or digital album?

ok i think i repeated everything that Shorty McBride wrote....have fun and let us know what happened?

everything they said and don't settle, try to negotiate more add ons, price getting lowered etc.

Make sure you get EVERYTHING in writing. You want to have a contract stating everything they will supply because if - God Forbid - they do not come through, you want a legal leg to stand on. Do not leave anything to chance. The only tangible thing you will have after the wedding other then your husband and ring is NOT anything you want to risk. GET IT WRITTEN DOWN!

Negotiate the price. My fiance got the feeling that he could negotiate the price of the photgraphers we liked so far (ADA and Time Xposre). We are still looking at others because we really liked ADA's package but they got some mixed reviews on the board.

another thing of advice is make sure u feel comfortable with the people, meet the person who will be taking the pictures if its not the one you talk with, and make sure that spark is there.. we went to 10 places and new right away when we stepped into our that it was the one.. good luck

You should also ask to see a full set of proofs from a wedding. Usually, a photographer will just show u his books, which are the best of his/her work. If you look at an entire proof set, you can get a feel for what he/she actually does during the wedding, as well as the best work.

well we just got back from the appt. and we loved them!!! we talked and i had all my questions answered and found out a lot of great stuff! so we decided to book. i am so happy. a few major things that pleased me was that our proofs are all 4X6 size and come as individual photos in a nice box. they are not tiny in an album of proofs. so i can frame any of these and actually use them. also we get all of our pics on a cd that we can actually use! it is formatted just as if i took my digital pics and put them on a cd. again i can use them for wallpaper, for website...anything. This was great bc/ my sis's wedding pics were on a cd but were only able to be viewed a s a slideshow. there is a major firewall on the cd. anyway i was very happy. the price was pretty good......or at least i thought it was. if anyone is interested i am more than happy to share

ALSO i have a gift certificate for $500 that i won at a bridal show to proline. it is towards a video package when a photo package is also booked. anyway....i was not able to use it b/c the guy quoted me a very good price to begin with. so he could not combine both. anyway, if anyone is seriously interested in using them i would be more than happy to mail it to you!
