Photo Booth

Is anyone getting a Photo Booth? I am in between. I went to a wedding for FH friend and all I remember is the Photo Booth....It had Avatar's and it was fun. I want to also make this my guest favor and naturally mom whom is old school is like you cannot give that as a favor and me and FH are like we rather give this then a gift that is never used! Suggestions and comments welcomed :)

I think the photo booth is such a fun thing to have but I cant do it for favors which makes it out of the budget. My family is old fashioned greek so theyre expecting a gift that will never be used. LOL (its how I feel about it too)So it really depends, I wanted to say who cares and get it anyways but FH agrees.
Maybe Do that and something tiny for the guests if you can, a compromise

I am leaning towards getting that and a favor and just sneak it by FH. I mean he wont care but when I ask my mom what should we get she says do not worry we have time LOL - I was thinking more custom photo frames for like grandparents and going in with them. That fun memory will last a life time if you ask me. I am even getting zap photos to get more pictures since it is mostly family and we want all those moments. Have you picked out a favor yet?

I love the photo booth idea!! I also saw some company that sets up like a red carpet in the lobby and has a backdrop with your names on it and they take your guests picture print it and put it in a frame as a favor. I thought that was a cool idea but way out of my budget. I am doing the zap photos also :) Figured you can't have enough pictures.

We are using Ovation Photo Booth. They are reasonably priced and give you different photo options. We got the package where everyone in the pic gets a strip and also have an option to print one pic from the strip out as a 4x6 picture. I know they sell photo booth picture frames so I think that's a perfect option as a favor.

We got a photo booth through our DJ. They gave us a discount for attending their showcase and booking them as our DJ as well. They are not your typical photo booth pictures though. They are bigger I think 6x8 are the prints so its an odd size to get a frame for. We don't know if we will use it as favors yet.

I enjoyed it. LI Sound has the best booth. FH has a ton of installation dinners and the other ones are just the regular booths and aren't as fun. But I suppose it is as fun as you make it.

I have never seen it as a distraction. Its all in the placement of it. You dont want it sticking out like a sore thumb but you also dont want it hidden that your guests dont know its there.

I loved it as a guest and have seen it at a few different weddings... However now as a bride all I can think about is how we are paying sooooo much money and when you think about all of the things that typically occur at a wedding (cake cutting, parent dances, speeches etc...) and that the actually 'party' time is only 4 hours I don't want to take time away from the dancing.. So although we did think a lot about getting one, we decided against it in the end...

But again I loved it as a guest at a wedding

I feel the same way. I loved the idea until we actually booked one and now all I can think about is where is it going to fit? Will it be distracting?? What if there's a line?? What if no one is dancing?? Aaahh the thoughts of a bride haha!!
