Photo booth photos as favors?

We plan on getting a photo booth and I've seen that people have used them as favors. Has anyone done this before? Or been to a wedding where it was done? My FH is afraid that its tacky and while I don't think its tacky, I'm afraid it will only be a hit with the younger crowd and that Great Aunt Sue and Great Uncle Joe will not partake and feel stiffed of a favor (do people actually feel stiffed if you don't give out favors?). Thoughts?

Photo booth photos as favors?

We were at a wedding this year that did the photobooth frame as the favor. It was a great idea. I'd rather that than something I'm just going to throw away in a month. Since FH and I started dating, we've been to approx 25 weddings together. The only favor I still have is the photobooth frame. Because it holds a great pic from that night! We've seen everything from coasters (great idea in theory, but not practical. My drink sweat on the glass coaster causing my cup to stick to it, and the coaster fell and shattered on the floor), to cheese platters, to salt and pepper shakers (so cute, i might still have them somewhere, but I don't actually use them). Whereas something like a photobooth frame and/or edible favor is 100% going to be used. And you'll be surprised about who does and doesn't use the photobooth. Every wedding I've been to with one EVERYONE has used it! They're such a good time!

Photo booth photos as favors?

I've never been to a wedding with one but I will be having it as my favor and buying the frames to put the strips in. We went to a bridal showcase & had so much fun in the photobooth. I have the frame on my desk at work & everyone (young and old) comments how cute the idea is. I think most people will use it & it's not too expensive if you're already going to have the photobooth.

Re: Photo booth photos as favors?

I wanted to do this if we decide to get a photo booth, the only thing I was concerned about is the older guests who may not care to go to the photo booth. I don't want them to feel like they didn't get a favor. I do love the idea though!

Exactly this! Everyone isn't going to use it. So if you don't use the pb you don't really get anything but an.empty frame....that u can't use for a normal picture.

I'm definitely concerned about the older folks who don't want to use the booth, but I'm also curious how much actually getting a favor really means to people. The only favor I can remember getting from any wedding is my FH's sister, and that's because she had awesome chocolate and vanilla truffles.

Photo booth photos as favors?

i was thinking of one but was concerned that guests would be at the booth instead of at the wedding reception.

Photo booth photos as favors?

I did! But we got picture frames for the Photo Booth pictures. It was a hit. The adults really liked it as well. My husband's friend's father went into the booth like 10 times.

ETA: Nearly everyone used the booth. My grandma even went in and took some HILARIOUS pictures with my great aunt.

Photo booth photos as favors?

I went to a wedding where they left little picture frames on the table with their names and the date on them. After you went in the Photo Booth, you took one picture with you to stick in your frame and take home and another one went into a book that you could sign and write a note to, next to your picture. I LOVED this idea. To be honest, I hate favors- I never use them and I always throw them out- so this favor I will have forever. It is hanging on my fridge because it was a magnet. :D

This! We are having a red carpet/step and repeat at our wedding. We keep digital copies of the pictures and guests take home pics of themselves as the 'favor'.

Funny I.had this convo.with my.fmil.and my mother.separately and got two very different answers......
I come from.a big Italian family where the old folks are.looking for favors. Where as my fmil suggested not wasting the money. So we decided to donate to our food rescue....my mom still said....your still not giving anyone anything? So I guess it all depends on your family.

Photo booth photos as favors?

Yay, I'm so glad so many others have the same idea as me!! I love the idea of have people enjoy the photo booth and having a photo to take home -- and I do think its one of the few favors that won't get eaten (obviously) or thrown away. A lot of the photographers I'm looking at have photo booths, but some of them are strips and some of them are 4x6s. I'm not sure which would be better!

Photo booth photos as favors?

When I think of photo booth I think of the strips personally. But the ones that have 4x6 prints tend to have cooler features in my experience

I feel like it means more to the older people to be honest, which is why I don't want them to be the ones going home without a favor lol
