Photo Centerpieces

Photo Centerpieces

Finally got the pictures to load. This is the mockup for our photocenterpieces. Its a very raw idea of what it will look like. All the tables will have different arrangements-theres like 4 total arrangements-about 12 tables.

The final cp will have gerber dasies in the bud vases, b&w photos of us in the frames with a few color photos and possibly votive candles around them. We're not sure yet because its in this glass house looking venue. Its a morning ceremony and early reception so may be too sunny for candles. If we do not put candles in the votive holders, we will probably put one gerber daisy in each one we put on the table (about 5 per table)

This is arrangemt #1-front view

another possible arrangement

Please let me know what you guys think. If you have other ideas on ways to arrange the frames, we are open. Thanks.

i think it's a great idea!!!!!

the only thing i would suggest is that you have the frames 'match' a little bit more. this way it will look a little more as though it's one piece.

i hope i explained that well.

i think it will look beautiful.

also, i would put flowers instead of candles around it because of the time of day, like you said.

can't wait to see pics of the finished product

Re: Photo Centerpieces

Thanks for the feedback, Libby.

Yea decided to change them up again. My FH thought we should make it more ecclectic for two reasons. 1. Like you said, otherwise it didn't appear 'seamless' and 2 (this is such a guy thing to think of-we just think its pretty!) that it wasn't practical to make such tight arrangements because then people won't want to pick them up to get a better look and we want them to. The pictures on the tables will be individualized to the people sitting there (like friends and family; us with them on different occasions) so we want them to be able to touch and look without worrying they will 'damage' the arrangement.

So anyway, we basically went with one different frame on every table- some have the nicer frames (the friends and family tables) and they all ahve same small frrames. What will tie all of them in is they will have the same flower arrangement inside.

I agree with you about candles-I think they will eb abtrusive. So we're doing rose petals on the table and then daisy flower heads scattered on there as well.

When they are all composed in a few weeks I'll put up more pics.

I think that is a cute idea! I like the idea of the votive candles as well. But they won't be necessary if it's during the day. But very good idea!!!

Re: Photo Centerpieces

i just thought about something. there was a girl who wanted help on puttin together a 'photocube' of sorts for her centerpiece. that might be something else you might consider. the only thing is, that it's one piece,so your guests won't be able to pick them up to look at them.

just a thought

Hmm thta's a good idea. I'm still thinking of things for other tables like the cake table. I once saw one that was made of vellum with the bride and grooms faces on it wrapped around a photocube with no top and a candle in the middle. it ahd flowers around it but I can't seem to find the dang thing anymore. If anyone can, please send it this way!

BTW Thanks so much Libby for responding!

I think they look great! But to add on to the above...what if you bought those cubes-they arent frames they are shelves and open in the back and attach you pics to the 4 sides of that, you would still be able to put flowers in the middle.

I also agree with the flowers instead of candles b/c of the time of day, why not just put the heads of the daisies ont he table instead of putting them in vases so to speak?

I went to MICHAELS this week-LOVE the sales! hehe Anyway I looked for the cubes because I don't have time to make them-work, in school fll time and student teach soooo NO time.

I couldn't find anything so we are going to stick to the sporatic frame idea-breaking up the arrangements we had before due to wanting our guests to be able to touch the frames without feeling they are 'messing' things up.' We are going to use the heads of the daises idea-Pete had that idea too and I really like it better than candles because of the time of day. Thanks so much for that.

We are going to have the ones in the vase in the middle to tie in every table. The frames will be around them in a circle and then we will sprinkle fuschia rose petals and daisy heads on the table around them to make the arrangements take up a bit more space and just look happier.

Oh Libby....

-sighs- Ok I LOVE that and now have all the wrong frames for it! LOL bad libby! bad!

-grins- Hmm The directions on that string were hard to follow but maybe I could make one for our table or put it by the cake table? LOVE that.

Thank you!

Re: Photo Centerpieces

i'm sorry that i made it that much harder to decide... not

i felt that would be best done if you made a 'photocube' type set-up and pave the pictures printed on vellum. you can then put a fake candle on the inside, that way you don't have to worry about the flame and the paper.

if you decide to go with this and need help putting it together, fm me and i'd be happy to help
