photo guest book ideas?

My FH got me an early bday gift.. a Pogo. Baically it's the new polorid digital inkless printer that allows you to take a pic on your digital camera and send it to this small printer (the Pogo) and have it print on 2x3 paper with a sticky back.

As soon as I got it I was thinking... Is there a way to get people to take pics of each other or themselves using a digital camera I supply, have it printed right there on the printer, stick it to a guest book, and write their note as well?

I really want a photo guest book, but a photo booth is looking to be out of our budget more and more... I would all ready have the equipment needed and the paper is about $0.16 a sheet.

Does anyone have any suggestions how I can make this work? I feel like if I leave it to guests they may have dificulites using it, or not realize what they are supposed to do.
Do you think i can 'hire' someone I know who wouldn't normally be invited to my wedding as a guest to take the pics? Can I hire someone I don't know? where would I look?

Any other suggestions on how to make this or any other type photo guest book work would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

Re: photo guest book ideas?

I think that's a great idea! Maybe your RH could supply you with someone who could stand by the table?

Re: photo guest book ideas?

I think it would work better if you got someone to bring a separate digital camera (this way all guests would have an opportunity to be in the book...even those that may not have brought a camera)....

maybe just have a person next to a table somewhere that is visible to all guests.

Re: photo guest book ideas?

we had a photo guest book using a photobooth but I had one of my close friends man the guest book station. she stuck around cocktail hour and rounded up guests and afterwards other guests helped each other out during the reception.

HTH

Oh i forgot, we ended up making a scrapbook and having blank pages, markers and pens and guests could decorate and write what they wanted.
