I was wondering if anyone on this board is using a photojournalistic photographer for their wedding. I am very interested in using one for my wedding, I like the idea of action, emotional shots better than constant posed pictures. If anyone has any recommendations of photographers on Long Island that they have heard or experienced first hand to be experiences in photojournalism can you give me their names please, Thanks!!!

Re: Photo journalism
The first question is..whats your budget?
There is Duet who do a mix of both, Patken, Imagine, Verdi, B rett M atthews..they range in price from 2K and some actually start way higher than that. So budget is important.

We used Proline. I had 2 photgraphers. One was photojournalistic. It was one of the best decisions we made

Re: Photo journalism
Imagine Studios and Proline were two places I have seen websites for and was impressed, but I never know whether they are as good as they look or not, good to hear that you both were happy with them. The photographs will be the one thing at my wedding that I will splurge on if necessary...so I dont have a budget persey. My friend is using Patken and I know she is spending in the double digits...not how much I want to spend. Do you guys mind telling me the price range for Imagine studios and proline..you can forum email me if you dont want to post it on here and if you dont want to tell me thats fine too, i understand!

Re: Photo journalism
We used Twelfth Night and had two photographers - one traditional and one photojournalistic. The traditional took color film and digital and the photojournalistic took black and white film and digital.

Re: Photo journalism
We're using B rett M atthews and getting 2 photographers and a lighting assistant. One of the photographers is a straight PJ and the other is a combo traditional, PJ.
UPDATED: We used BM and would NOT recommend them.
FM for details.

Fine, state your opinion anyway you please...us ladies here though like it better and try our best to say those opinions with some ounce of respect for the others that feel differently. While a public forum , considering other people's feelings is something many people need to learn..
Now since you wont mention WHY publicly you made such a comment on proline, from my own experience, I have only known one person whos pictures I have yet seen from them, and I they had 2 photgraphers and a lot of photojournalistic type pictures...I do not know if they paid extra though to have that done.
