Photo journalism

Original post by Robinella

I was wondering if anyone on this board is using a photojournalistic photographer for their wedding. I am very interested in using one for my wedding, I like the idea of action, emotional shots better than constant posed pictures. If anyone has any recommendations of photographers on Long Island that they have heard or experienced first hand to be experiences in photojournalism can you give me their names please, Thanks!!!

Sooooo terribly sorry if anyone is offended... realllllyyy i am.... and the REASON i didnt write PUBLICLY why i feel the way i do has more to do with not wanting to type 14 pages worth of posts right now on the issues i've had since May. I'm kinda tired. And i've spoken with alot of people about their services or lack thereof, and so frankly if you USE them, good luck to you. And if you USED them and got 'SUBERB SERVICE' then consider yourself one of the luckier ones. There, is that better?????

My bigger concern, since everyone is entitled to have and state their opinion, is that to some extent, stuff on this board is censored. So, if you write of your actual experience, you really help other girls and keep them from making your mistakes. Since comments that are viewed as 'attacks', warranted or otherwise, are often removed, I am sorry because I would be interested in knowing the details. Anyway, I am really sorry you had a negative experience. Good luck!

You comment was RUDE and you do need a little tact. There are other peoples feelings here, including mine (since i used Proline). I do understand that you didn't have the best experience, just like we all heard about your 'issues' with Fox Hollow (which was informative). There is a way of saying things to be helpful and there is a way of saying things to just sound like a disgruntled bride. The former is much more helpful and needed rather than the later that really does nothing.
It would have been helpful to have seen an informative post about your experience about Proline before my wedding. No i didn't see anything until you silly wet one comment. Thanks for the help!

I didn't even know you had issues, why would people FM you? Maybe if you just told us in a post it could HELP? ESPECIALLY ME? SOmeone who could have benefited from your experience BEFORE MY WEDDING?

Wow...there is a lot going on in this post since I last checked it. Basically I'm looking for positive and negative experiences...cause even with one photographer he is never gonna make everyone happy...but I want to atleast know what to expect. If any of you girls have photojournalistic pics you could forum mail me I would appreciate, I guess that is a sure fire way to know whether I like the photographers style or not. Thanks for all the suggestions!!
