if you want to travel a bit east to Setauket or Stony Brook, there are two really pretty areas... one in the village of Stony Brook, and the other in Setauket is called Frank Melville Park or something like that, it is near the Setauket Neighborhood house and the old little post office... it has cute little foot bridges and a big pond... very pretty!
