Photo location near The Riviera

Original post by PhyllisNJoe

Need your help...

Trying to find a place near the Riviera (Massapequa - no more than 15 mins away) for photos. We were originally planning on Old Westbury Gardens, but time is restricted, so that's out.

Last night decided on just using the Riviera and their grounds for all our shots, but would like to have another option of something 'Different'.

Any ideas?

TIA

I heard there is a park on Shore drive if you keep driving past the Riviera, so I'm going to check that out. I'm also going to check out Arglye Park and then just drive around to what we find.

FH and I drove down that way once a couple months ago and the 'park' that is there isn't all that great. It is on the water which is a nice touch but the 'grounds' really aren't that. It's more of a picnic/playground type thing and there is no real parking lot. Totally check it out - but I just wanted to give you the heads up beore you go.

yeah I figured that's what it was because I didn't a google map search for it and did street view and it looked like there was nothing there! I'll check it out regardless but if it's like what I saw than that's definitely a no.

Where are you planning on doing pics?

We have gone back and forth about this - I have looked into a bunch of places but REFUSE to pay anything - I just think thats so silly.

We are going to look into Pearsall Park in Amityville - it's not far from the Riviera and some other LIW brides have taken pics there (search for the name). I looks pretty in the pics but we need to check it out in person.

We had our wedding at the Riviera last June and used Pearsall Park and were really happy with the results of our pictures.

Re: Photo location near The Riviera

Hi!
We are currently considering the Riviera for our wedding next year. I was just wondering along the same lines as this post if anyone knows of good photo locations for cocktail hour photos near Riviera? I really want to take beachy photos with my FH after the ceremony but I am worried about traveling too far so that we get back before the reception...any ideas/success with the sites already mentioned?
Thanks!
-Cristina
