photo montage

My DJ said we can make our own (or have it made) and they'd play it for us. It has to be in a format that will play on a DVD player. If we want them to do it it's $400

I'm assuming a photo montage is more than just your photos on a DVD. It's a slide show with music and effects right?
Did anyone do it themselves?
What program did you use?
Does anyone have examples they can FM me or in a video album or what ever that they can share?

I learn pretty fast and am good with computers and photoshop for editing photos. Any ideas/suggestions would greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Re: photo montage

I have used www.onetruemedia.com to create my own montages. There is a fee you have to pay but it isn't very expensive.
