photo montage

photo montage

Hey ladies... Just wondering your thoughts on a photo montage at the reception. FH and I really think we want one. We've only seen one DJ so far and thats not in any of his packages.... Is it something we can do by our selves? And if so, do any of the RH's have equipment to play it? We are still going to look at other DJ's that may include it but just wondering your thoughts/opinions! TIA :)

Some RH's have installed plasmas and are capable of playing them.
I'm not sure about Jericho Terrace.

Your DJ can do it, your photographer, or if you or FH are creative you guys can do it on your own.

In order to view it you either need to have plasma tv's in ur DJ package or a projector and projector screen. (the 2nd option is cheaper and the projector will be back by the DJ so it won't be in the middle of the room.)

Either could work

I think the photo montage's are cute...Most DJ's are able to set up and play a photo montage, you just need to make sure you book the tv/video screen's with the DJ or see if your hall has them to use...
Our DJ is not going to be making the montage for us but they said it was totally fine for them to play it for us as long as we got the plasma's, no big deal for them!!

IDK what room you are in at JT but the Dome and the Penthouse room have the plasma tv's built in and can play them. I was told the Skylight room will have them by my wedding date.

You could make your own and they will play it.

Re: photo montage

FYI for those doing the photo montage themselves.

Please give it to the DJ prior to the day of the event to make sure that it is read-able with the DJ's dvd/projector system.

I cannot tell you how many times this is never done and the montage either a. doesn't work, b. skips, c. has no sound, d. all of the above.

Just a heads up.

Thats awesome to hear! We're in the dome room.
So do we just run it by our banquet manager or what to make sure there wont be a problem??
Thanks so much for everyone's responses!

I love that room! I wanted the montage for the RH but my FBIL told me he is getting one for us for the engagement party. I really would rather it be at the wedding but he wants to get it for us and suprise his brother. So i guess i just keep my mouth shut!

Thanks for the heads up!!

For any of the girls that are doing it themselves, if you for some reason cant get it to your DJ, let me know and I can try to help you...FH's uncle is a professional photo/video guy and has since moved into movies and such (he is the one doing our montage, yay lol!!) So worst case scenario, you cant get to your DJ let me know I can bring it over to FH's uncles house and test it out for you!!

I am also looking to do a photo montage. We haven't met with any DJ's yet so not sure how it works.

Are photo montages played at dinnertime?
My friend is having one at her wedding on Saturday. This will be my first time at a wedding with a photo montage. I am dreading having to stand on the dance floor or something and watch a ten minute long video.

They can usually be played whenever the couple wants I think. We are going to have our montage running continuously during the CH. We don't want everyone to stop and watch the pictures of us, so it will just be there.

Then, the bars are in the CH room, so the montage screen will remain out there all night w/ zap shots.
