I booked this guy gabriel gibson in nyc, he had an interesting deal where we keep our negs and produce our own album under his direction. In other words he is going to shoot and charge us $1500 for the entire day and we pick up the film at the lab pay for it edit it and call him on any album questions, like who are the best printers and album makers, this way we dont have to pay the mark up on albums. Plus he shot a digital session on us for free when we reviewed his portfolio. he is an editorial shooter so his style is fresh. I'm using Patken but we weren't assigned a photographer yet. They said that they would do that when we go for engagement shoot (which is next month). I have no idea who they are assigning us but I'm sure they're all good.

I had an appt. with celestial for next week and cancelled because I saw a negative review about them on one of these message boards. who knows if its true, but there's so many photographers to choose from, all I needed was one bad review and they are off my list! I do not want to worry you, but check him out further, you may still have time. Ultimately we each have to make our own decisions and we are all different. if you feel comfortable and have a good rapport with him than thats all that matters!

We paid about $6500, but got the video, and 120 pictures in our album (quite a heafty album, I must admit, but we wanted all of those pictures in it), as well as one parents album that had 33 pictures in it, the other parent album had 52 pictures in it, and another separate album for my brother (the only sibling in the wedding) with 32 pictures. So, all in all, I think we got our money's worth, and we're really happy with everything we got. We used Fine Art. And, by the way, because the photographer at the wedding had forgotten to take a picture of me and my MOH alone, and because they hadn't taken all of the table shots, even though I reminded them to do so beforehand (

), I made them take $1000 off the final price - it would've been $7500. But, still I do highly recommend them.

I also booked with the Wedding Center! Their work was really nice and they are great to work with. Did you get just your phots from them or anything else? What package #?
