So I'm going to start making appointments to see photographers and I was just wondering what questions I need to ask when I get there... At the moment I can't think of anything but I'm sure there is a whole list of questions that I should be asking when I get there...
You should definitely ask the photographer, what their style is. Many only do photojournalistic photos, you want a mixture of posed and photojournalistic. Photojournalisitc photos are more candid and not really with you looking directly at the camera. You will want photo's that you can frame.
Don't be afraid to ask about discounts. Give them your budget and they will work with it if they really want your business.
Hope this helps. Good Luck.

Re: Photo Questions
This isn't really a question t ask but, more something to look out for:
How do they take pictures in the rain?
Goodness forbid it rains...you want to know taht the photographer has the creative ability to still produce beautiful pictures for you.
I booked my photographer immediately after looking through her books because ALL of her work was good- in any weather and any type of lighting.
So thats's just something to look out for-

Re: Photo Questions
When we were meeting with photographers, I tried to remember to ask whether there was a cap on the number of hours the photographer would stay, whether proofs would be obscured by a prominent copyright notice on the front, how long it would take to get proofs and albums, whether an engagement shoot was included, whether proofs would be available online, whether we'd get a high-res disk with the proofs, whether each set of parents could pick the proofs for their respective album, whether there would be any extra charge for special effects (i.e., making a picture black & white, but leaving the bo-k in color).
