Photo time?

Photo time?

Question:

We decided, after much consideration, that we're going to do pictures before the wedding. How much time should we allow? The Groom's tisch starts at 3pm, so is starting pictures at 1:30 enough time?

Re: Photo time?

Is that for just you and FW? Or is this portraits of the whole family too?

We did before-ceremony pics of just DH and I, but that was only for 15 minutes. It took only 20 minutes to get all the portraits of the family in, and another 1/2 hour of special pics of DH and I.

So an hour and a half is probably plenty of time, depending on how creative you get with the shots.

This is all the posed pics: fw and I, family, and wedding party. What do you think?

Pictures for you and FW should take about an hour to an hour and a half. Pictures with both families would take about another 30-45 minutes.

Just going by our experience.

If you're planning a big photo shoot thing with multiple locations for yourself, your bride-to-be, and your family - then maybe 2 hours.

But if you're not going to go nuts and your photographer(s) are experienced, an hour and a half should be fine.

Do you have a photographer yet? Can you ask them? I just realized something - I had 2 photographers and we had about an hour and a half... So maybe with only one, it might take longer.
