Photobooth

Photobooth

I'm not sure when it is best to have the photobooth. We chose the 4 hour booth instead of having it for the entire wedding and its up to us when we want it there. The company we are renting from said that its best to have it during the reception but I dont want it being set up while the guests are walking actoss the lobby to the main ballroom. I also like the idea of having everyone in the ballroom for the last hour of the wedding. Do you think during the cocktail hour and most of the reception is good or should I take the photobooth companys adv and have it the 4 hours everyone is in the ballroom?

I would have it during the CH - most people will use it then anyhow, and then you'll have less people getting up and walking out during your reception.

If you don't mind me asking, what Company are you using?

we had ours start during cocktail hour and end an hour early so everyone was present for the last dance. So its a good idea. Our company set up during our ceremony.

hey kristen -

i was thinking about having this too at our wedding!! i was planning on having it set up during CH.. which of course, is only an hour (or an hour and a half for some ppl)

do they have ppl that work for the company who stay there all 4 hours to monitor the machine? if so, why not talk to them and work out certain points in the night where it is ok to allow guests to use it... like right after CH up until dinner is not okay - but allow all during dinner for ppl to use it and then stop it when its time for the mother/son/father/daughter dances and cutting of the cake, but resume it after that... maybe you could even type up a card for each table explaining this for everyone.

and remember - there are ALWAYS going to be ppl who get up from the reception room at ALL different times in the night.... so for ppl who think oh they arent going to want to use it during dinner, there will ALWAYS be people who will think to get up during dinner!! to avoid that, you could even keep it up for like 30 minutes after dinner.

anyways - that long explanation was what i was going to do if we decided to go with the photobooth!!

Thanks Michelle that makes alot of sense. I'm just not sure if they will consider all the breaks with the guests using the booth if they will charge us the extra hour
