Photobooth

Photobooth

Hey everyone...I need ur advice on a photo booth. I really want one but the FH says it's tacky and something u see at sweet 16s. I really like the idea of having it cause they make really cute books. The company sends someone there as like an attendant and they put a book together on the spot there. So when a group takes a photo, the attendant takes one strip and glues it in a boom and then allows the group to sign the book. I think it is such a cute way to create a book. Then at the end of the night I get the book and a flash drive of all the photos take that night.

I really want one but don't want to start a fight with the FH if it's a stupid idea. What do u guys think?

Re: Photobooth

Its not a stupid or tacky idea at all!! So many ppl have photobooths at their wedding and I always hear that its a big hit and everyone loves it.

I plan to get a photobooth for my wedding. I know my guess will love it plus I plan to use it as their favor. Im going to buy frames so they can put their photo strips in. I also want to do a prop box so ppl can take funny pix. I think it will make it even more fun and the pix will be so much fun to see.

Get your FH on board!! Lol

We did one at our engagement party and it was a big hit. FH was unsure if he wanted it when I first asked him about it also. We had such funny pictures even without the props. Our wedding is double the amount of people and I just thought it was crazy to fit one more thing into the room. Although since its such a big hit we might do it again if we have the money. I would def. try to convince him to do it.

I kinda felt like they were cheesy/sweet sixteenish at first too. I went to a showcase at our venue and tried one out, and it kinda changed my mind! I would say go to a showcase that has one and try it out with FH, he might end up liking it!

They're so awesome! You get some of the beat pics from the night in there sometimes. You could always incorporate the photobooth into your favor too. We have seen to 3 weddings with them and everyone used it. Parents, grandparents, little cousins And obviously the entire BP! They are pretty fun :)

I def said 'NO' when I saw them at showcases, thought they were tacky also--it's a wedding, not an arcade...
but honestly, the night Erin and I met, we did it and had a blast... I booked one for my wedding now! hahah
people say they are so fun at weddings and they don't take away from the dancing at all

I love photobooths at weddings. I think they make great albums and gifts for the guests and the bride & groom. It's done a lot at weddings and most guests think its funny-not tacky.

hoping for a modern theme, but if we do elegant/ romantic- any ideas of not as cheesy looking ones ?

Re: Photobooth

I think it would be a great idea but we are only inviting 120 and it is kinda out of our budget Ovation wanted 1500 for it and that is the small one. FH wanted it bad but I talked him out of it. Our room is kinda small for something like that and it doesn't fit our theme Elegant/Romantic. These machines are not at all elegant romantic at all. JMO
