Photobooth question

I really really really want a photobooth at my wedding. I dont know why but I do lol

now my question is do u think it will take away from my wedding since the guests will all want a picture im sure?

because I think it would be so cool to have as my sign in book!

Re: Photobooth question

i've never seen one at a wedding so I don't know if I can help you. I know my parents went to a par bitvah that had one or something simialr where they get a picture with a cartoon character. It was really cool.

I think it would be a cute addition to a wedding and if you could use them in your album that would be really fun!!!

I dont know if it would take away, im sure people would still be dancing and having a good time. I wonder though, do you think a line would form behind it? Maybe someone who has seen it at a wedding would know.

Heres a cheaper alternative: Get a sign in book and put a polaroid camera next to it. Have all your guests take a pic of themselves put it on a page and write a little something. That is what I am going to do. But if you want the real photo booth I don't think it would take away from your wedding, they could even do an announcement for it during cocktail hour so its not during the reception.

yeah i was thinking of doing the polaroid thing but I know none of my guests will sign it and do the picture :(

I think announcing it during the CH would be a great idea though!!

Im just afraid of a huge line forming behind it and no one on the dance floor

im totally planning to do this too haha.

i think its a great idea and i dont think it will take away from the wedding. its mostly going ot be used during cocktail hour i think.....the line should be taken care of by the attendant that comes along with the booth and they can organize everything. i think after CH the idea will ware off and people will just linger and take pictures randomly.

i think it'll be great for photos and the guestbook.

Hey Hall twin!

I was going to get one and even spoke to the BM about placement there. We have decided against it for a few reasons:

1- the cost, when we got estimates it came out to $2000.- plus you have to cover the cost of the 2 peoples (set up/contoller) meals at the reception.

2- We didnt want to make the wedding too busy for people to be doing things...

However we keep swaying,,,,

Re: Photobooth question

it might get a little crazy b/c they are SO ADDICTING and so much fun! We hired one for my dad's surprise 60th (costume) party.... It was a 50s theme so the photobooth fit into the theme.

My FH & I kinda wanna get it for our wedding, but we're expecting around 200 guests so it might not go over too well with people waiting on line etc etc.

Jess....what is the time btw ceremony and CH?

If theres a big lapse Id put it in the invite and see if ppl can come and use it at the RH before the CH....itll help fill the gap!

If you get a good price on one..FM me!!!!!!

Awesome IDEA!

Re: Photobooth question

I saw it on... hmm... Who's wedding is it anyway? At first FH was like a photobooth? Absolutely no. Then they showed the people taking pictures and it looks cool. There's other things that I'd rather have but we both think it's pretty cool.

Great idea, I may copy it I loved the idea of a photo booth, but I couldn't justify the cost. With our photographer we'll rec. 100 4x6 pics (in addition to our albums & larger prints). I plan on marking out spaces to put those pics in afterwards.
