Photog Appt

I am pretty sure there was a thread on BHB about this - but some of the questions I was sure to ask:
- do i have the rights to the photos?
- amount of time given with the photographer?
- how soon after the event will proofs be available?
- how many photogs do we get?
- do we pay after we see our proofs? (dont want to pay before if they ****)

That's just a couple - but I would try searching to a photography thread on BHB - one bride wrote out a whole lot of ques.

agree with the above...

I also make sure that the photographer you are meeting with is the actual person who will be shooting your wedding and I would get that in writing (especially if it's a studio that had a lot of different photographers). I would also ask what the backup plan would be if the photog gets sick on the day of your wedding or something comes up where he cannot attend.

Ask if he uses an assistant and if there is an extra cost for the assistant.

Ask if the photog if he/she has done weddings at your venue and ask to see their work that they did there (it will give you a better idea of what your pictures will look like).

Ask what kind of photos will be taken (b/w, Antigue/Sephia tone, color, etc).

Will you be able to get the negatives from them (a lot of places won't do this though.

Make sure they have liability insurance (a lot of RH's require this of your vendors)
