We paid for Duet 5,000 for two photographers, videographer 3 DvDs, raw video footage, our digital album 60 pics, two parent albums 24 each.
We received 650 proofs that they printed out and we have over 2,200 proofs on DVD of the whole day.
One 16X20 and two 8X10. 80 thank yous.
We probably could have gotten more added on if we would have negotiated better.

We were quoted in the 4200-5800 range. I booked Duet at 5200 for their photo/video pkg and a lot of extras.

Silverfox rates for 2006 were $1500 for up to 10 hr photography and that included 4x6 proofs and dvd 'negatives'.
Album charges depended on style, book size and number of images and ranged from about $500 to $1100 for about 70 images magazine style and higher for more pics and bigger albums.
you don't need to order album when you sign for pics; you can do that anytime later and prices are frozen as of contract. At least that's how it worked when we signed nov 2006 for this sep.
They have several photgs so you should be able to find someone you like.
he also had feature to add 2nd photog for either a full day (or 4hrs for $600).

We're going with a small company. It's $2,250 for all day coverage, pictures on a disc, big fancy leather album, Thank you postcards, and 3 big prints.
He had great reviews and I loved his work. He just seems like an honest guy.

you can find photographers for that or less, but you will likely not get nearly as much back. the independent photographers that I met with were coming in from around $2400 on the bottom end (you get them for 6-8 hrs and you get your pics back on a dvd and that's it) up to $5000 for the full out package (bride and groom album, parent albums, enlargements, ty cards, proofs).

so if that is your budget, just start doing your homework and meeting people. it can be done, but it will be a challenge and not an easy find a vendor in a weekend kind of thing.
