Our photog wants us to pay for each pic that we want touched up. I thought all our pics came touched up already. Is this the standard or did i just pic an expensive photog. ? we get a full set of prints and a dvd (not touched up) and an album with touched up pics.

Re: Photog xtra charges
I always thought that was extra. It was never mentioned to me, and I don't think we went over that yet, but I always thought it would be extra.

i don't think mine charges for that..but i guess it depends on the individual photographer/company.

all airbrushing/touching up is included. I made sure of that in my contract.

Re: Photog xtra charges
duet takes 500 of the top photos and automatically retouches them and those become out main proofs.
i guess it all depends on the photographer.......maybe you can bargain with them.

You have to make sure it's in your contract.

Re: Photog xtra charges
most that I spoke to would charge xtra to touch up - - they made a point of mentioning because we both wear glasses and said glare on them could be an issue. one even suggested that it would be cheaper for DH to buy new glasses with glare coating than touch up pics - - can you imagine that!!
one we selected said they would touch up glare but bigger things if we wanted those fixed would be xtra.

Re: Photog xtra charges
All the photographers I met with included touch up in their price. They may not 'edit' all the photos that they take but the def 'edited' most of the photos without an extra charge.

Re: Photog xtra charges
i think being 'edited' is included..meaning fixing any blurs, lighting, cropping, etc(making the pics look standard/good quality) ....but if u want any special effects (ie: color changes, graphics, etc.) then yes - this is extra. take a peek at ur contract..it should state EVERYTHING in there..and if it doesn't i would argue

Re: Photog xtra charges
Sorry I took so long, it's been crazy with construction and the holiday madness starting. I guess I dropped the ball on this one. I should've asked for it to be included. I didn't really know jack about photogs when I booked. durrrr, should've posted here earlier
It would basically be $35 per pic b/c he only includes it for 8x10 and bigger orders. darn
ETS:: thanks to all you guys for providing so many answers, big help
