Ok Ladies...so it seems I have narrowed down my very long list to the following photographers that I would like to see. My top picks are:

J'Adore Love
Duet
Thomas Paul
Sherwood Triart
Benchwerk

My other list includes:
North Island
Jayd Gardina
Love More
Imagine Studios
Twelfth Night
Evolution Image

I know this is a lot of vendors to meet with...so that is where you all come into play! I have been doing mass research on all of the above but I was hoping to get some personal reviews on meeting with any of them, using any of them, working with them, etc!

Thanks!

My sister used Duet 3 years ago, and her pictures came out awsome...Also, her Video is the best I've seen yet.

Re: Photographer

Can i just say how stressed I am with all of this?? I am loving everyone's thoughts, opinions, suggestions...but I just don't know what I am looking for I guess. I know I definitely want to click with my photographer and that I won't know until we meet with them but everything I have seen from the one's I have narrowed it down to look great! I don't know what to do!

Re: Photographer

I know quite a few people who are using Duet as well and I definitely want to meet with them...it just seems a little 'factory' to me and not very personal...but that's what I get when looking at the site. And I am not referring to the pictures...just the way the business is run...it seems like a lot is done online.

Re: Photographer

I am a Duet bride..I was concerned about it feeling impersonal but I feel the opposite after meeting with them..I met with Peter and he was really helpful..I have not met with my photographer yet..but will when we do our epics..

Re: Photographer

We met w/ TP who was really great and we loved his pics (plus he will work with you on pricing). In the end we booked w/ Patken because we fell in love w/ Vinny's album! I heard Sherwood is $$$ but we didn't go there. The other places we didn't meet w/! Good luck!

Re: Photographer

I sent my condensed list to my FH so he can check out the sites and tell me what he thinks without knowing my opinions and, with only looking at TP and Sherwood, he said he loves Sherwood! I just really want to narrow it down to like 5. I mean I don't want to spend the next 4 months searching!

I actually read a really bad, descriptive review of him and it has slightly turned me off. I do think his work hid gorgeous but I think I am going to start with some of the ones that I not only love, but who reviews that actually speak to the work and the character of the company!

Thanks and good luck with your shoot!

Re: Photographer

I love North Island! Michael is awesome! I recently had my engagement shoot and we not only loved how the pictures came out, but we had a blast. It's unfortunate that you read a bad review. :(
Go with what feels right. Believe me, you'll know. I also went to Duet and felt that it was kind of impersonal, but their work is beautiful. I love Michal's work, but most importnatly I enjoy his company. His graphic designer, Richard is also a really great guy. He just put together my save-the-dates and their very original. They also have an adorable studio that I fell in love with. I think it would be at least worth visiting.
Good luck and have fun!!

That is unfortunate... I actually have yet to read a bad review, and have read several that (from my experience so far) absolutely speak to the work and character of the company.
You definitely do want to click with your photog, though, and everyone has different tastes. I was turned off just by the actual work of other companies, so good luck with your search!

Re: Photographer

I'm w/ Benchwerk. They are a two person (husband/wife) company, who truly cares for the work they do and their brides/grooms. We just took our e-pics a few weeks ago and it was so much fun. They really get angles and how to make really amazing pictures, and they're so much fun to work with. Based on their work, I can't believe how low the price is also.
