photographer at e-party?

more than one person has mentioned this on here, is it really necessary? i had never heard of having one at the e-party

it's not necessary if you don't want it...I didn't have a professional photographer at my engagement party, and I don't regret it. My FSIL was nice enough to take some posed photos of us before most guests arrived, and then FSIL, my brother and SIL took photos of us and our guests throughout the event.

i would say no. I had no eparty but at my shower we had my father stay the entire time and he had taken pictures during the entire event. My father is a semi pro photog so the pics came out pretty good but honestly anyone with a pretty good camera and who can take some shots through out the event would do just fine.

I had one and she was very reasonable. we decided two days before the eparty to hire one and it was a GREAT decision. We just did three hours and had a disc of all the images. We made three kodak gallery books from it and the pictures are phenomenal. It was worth every penny.

I don't think its necessary. Most people have digital cameras and will take pictures- just request everyone email them to you and you can put them together yourself in a scrapbook.

i think its a personal choice. however, the guests that come may not be taking pics of just you and fh and ones that do, it may not be the most flattering and finally the quality cannot compare to the professional cameras. if you can do it, i think its def worth it.

It's not a must, but I was just telling my mother yesterday how I barley have any pictures from my e-party and that I wish I had more. You could just make sure that close family and friends take tons of pictures for you.

No...I definitely don't feel it's necessary to have a photographer for that. You have the funds to do it go ahead... but it isn't a necessity!
