photographer cancelling on us AGAIN!!!! sort of long rant

So last weekend we went to meet a photographer, suggested by our RH, and when we had some problems finding the place we called his cell and he said 'Oh, you wanted to meet with me?' So we met with his assistant who went over everything, and we thought their work was really good. BUT we were still annoyed because we drove all the way out there to meet the main guy, and we even specified that we wanted to meet with him individually, and he didn't show up.

So we are now deciding between three photographers, and I won't book anyone that I don't meet, so this past Monday we called the photographer again and we made an appointment to meet with him tomorrow at 2:30. So his secretary just called and he is 'busy' tomorrow and it is no longer a good time for him! We are booked with all of these other appointments, so we can't move the time, and now if he cancels we are left with this big hole in our day but not enough time to go home! He wants to switch to Sunday, but FH and I are already busy then too, and we are really frustrated because it is like they don't want our business AT ALL!

At least we have two other photographers to consider. Thanks for reading my rant!

sorry to hear this!!!! sounds like the other 2 might be the ones to look at. I am not a fan of cancelling, nevermind twice- good luck!

sounds a little shady...i would be wary about booking with someone who is so unreliable!

I agree. The other 2 may be the way to go. This guy is not making himself too appealing!

i would definately RUN from who cancels on you - i would not want the stress of worrying if they would show up the day of...

Yea, I would run from whoever cancels all the time too. That's not right. Are you checking Duet by any chance? They are amazing.

I would not even bother. Maybe that is sign for you to pick from the two you seen already or to keep researching.

That would so annoy me. I would just not even consider them and look for others. I feel like if you aren't organized and wiling to meet with us, then seee yaaaa

I wouldn't use them. Personally I would be worried about such a major vendor being that unreliable. Would you send me an FM of who the vendor is? Just want to be prepared if he is mine. Thanks

Totally agree withthe girls! I would never book with a guy that cancels it woul dmake e scared for my wedding day. If he cant make time to meet you then why mak ethe time for him nevermind give him business.

There are so many great photographers out there who want your business-- go with someone who respects your time. I prefer to speak with my vendors directly rather than their secretaries. Youll find someone who is excellent and keeps appts
