Photographer contract- what should be included

Any thoughts?

Here is what I have thought of so far:

Date of wedding
Start and end time
Price
What's included
# of photographers
What gets edited/touched up
# of guaranteed proofs
Cancellation policy
Payment schedule
Fees for adding more pictures to the bride and groom album

Anything else?

CD/DVD of pictures

in case your photographer can't make the day of your wedding to have someone just as comparable and good as he is. like who is his back up...(i'm not sure if you're using a company that has more than one photographer or a guy who does it alone)

This is important in case the photographer flakes out or does something on the sly where two people are booked on the same date. I included this section into all of my contracts for the vendors I've worked with:
** *IMPORTANT***: In an event where the photographer has to cancel the date of service or where the photographer can not fulfill the contract and provide service as stated on contract, (put your names) are hereby entitled to a full refund/partial deposit.*** And list everything that the photographer has to provide:
1. Number of hours (overtime charge/pricing)
2. Date of Event, Place of Venue, Name(s) of Photographer, Number of Photographers
3. Number of Proofs
4. Editing & Re-touching
5. Payment Info/Cancellation Policy
6. Add'l charges for adding photos to albums
7. Cost of bride & groom, parents albums
8. Price of package
9. Terms and Conditions of Services
10. Copyright- if vendor wishes to use your photos for marketing purposes, they must notify and get your signature in writing to obtain permission in order for release of photos.

Re: Photographer contract- what should be included

I asked for this in my contract in addition to the above mentioned

estimated turn around time for pictures
owning the copyrights
with nothing embedded
Name of photog and backup
type of equipment used and back up equipment on hand...just in case (lens, body, lighting, etc)
type of insurance they have (my RH requires $2M some places carry $1M)
Hi Res CD/DVD
AND how many locations they will shoot at.
Some will only include 2 stops.
Montage / # of pics to include
how many black and white included and special Fx

**my photog doesn't get the balance until I pick up the pictures / video. I love this and wished all vendors ensured their clients satisfaction this way.
