When I was looking, I wanted to make sure I got all my proofs, and 2 photographers for the day. I also wanted a flexible package where I can add things on later to my album and re-prints b/c I was unsure of what exactly I wanted in an album.

If engagement pics are important to you, make sure you get them.

Here's some of the ?'s I asked:

1) Will I have a photographer and assistant?
2) Is it digital?
3) What kind of album? storybook/traditional?
A) How many pics in my album?
B) How many in parent albums?
4) Do I get 'thank yous' and how many?
5) Are proofs free? How soon do I get them?
6) Is there a charge for extra travel/ when does my time start and where?
7) Are engagement pics incl. or how much extra?
8) What size large pic do I get?
9) Is it extra to have special effects/what kind do you do?
10) Does the photographer bring backup equipment?
11) Do you do photojournalism?
12) Can I meet the photographer before the day?
Try to get a deal for photography and videography together.
1) Is it digital
2) How many DVD's do I get?
3) Photo mantage and recap included?
4) Can I choose the music?

HTH! I just came back from a photographers place I really like, FM me if you want info! Good Luck!

i wouldn't worry about getting so many parent albums - you can make nice books for less money at mypublisher or others

important to know exact number of hours and number of photographers and assistants

how long to get proofs, how many proofs,
when you get the negatives

engagment shoot included - can it b etaken anywhere - how long is the session, how many proofs

how long do reprints take to come in?

making albums after the wedding is very time consuming - and a lot of people aren't into it - plus photographer albums take forever to get

get everything in writing

Number of photos is a consideration.
