Photographer Help
Hi All: I am looking for a great photographer that isn't going to cost an arm and a leg. So far I've looked at Creative Compositions Fine Photography, Len Marks Photography and Catrina Genovese. The search continues, but if anyone has used or is using a photographer who does more of a photojournalistic style, candid shots, black and white...that's what we are hoping for...

Re: Photographer Help
Cassarino has a bunch of different packages. They also have a separate photojournalistic photographer you can hire. I think he costs like $700-$750 and he does like 150 pics or so. Cassarino is a bit pricey, but like I said they have plenty of wedding packages to choose from.. If photojournalistic is what you are looking for, I'd go with a cheaper package and hire the separate photographer as well... Unless of course photojournalistic is ALL you are looking for for your wedding photos. I hope I just made sense, I still feel like I am half asleep
Let me know if you have any more questions.

Re: Photographer Help
I think I looked at VIP, and I will check out the photojournalist guy. We are thinking of having some photos done, the rest done through cameras on the table. Candid shots are so fun.

Re: Photographer Help
Definately look into VIP. I really liked his work and the price was right. Plus you get two photgraphers covering your day. John, the owner, takes all the main shots in color and his assistant shoots black and white at the same time from a different angle.

Re: Photographer Help
Hiya!!! I used Creative Compositions, and it was the greatest decision I made. I ***LOVED*** them, worth every last penny. Steve and Ruth photographed my wedding. We purchased a package with 24 pictures for our parent's albums, and my in-laws decided they absolutely had to have 45 pictures because there were so many they adored. I'm still working on my album -- I have no idea how I'm going to pick, guess I'll have a very large album! Did you get to see Ruth's work? She does their photojournalism (Amazing!). (I haven't scanned any of the pictures yet, I should do that!!!)Anyhow, enough about me and my love of Creative Compositions. I went to about nine photographers during my search, and the only other that I thought did the b&w candid photojournalism well was Mark Kauffman's studio, who was priced similar to Creative Compositions.

Re: Photographer Help
The table cameras do not get the same shoots a professional photogapher gets. Also, at many weddings I have been to only a few people even pick those cameras up. You can get some nice who is at the table shots, but the flashs are not very good and they do not take good photos from even a slight distance.Photos is the one place you should not skrimp on. They are what you have to for years and years.
