So, I started looking at photographers this wknd..
So far I've been to:
Patken (wasn't crazy about) Perceptions (LOVED, but was too pricey for me) DUET (great deal) Rendevous (not crazy about)
So, I was wondering if ppl can offer some more suggestions.
My only hang up with Duet was that I've been told I should feel SUPER comfortable with my photog and have a great rapport with them...and being that I have to sign a contract before I meet/pick a photog worries me... Can anyone comment on how their photog are to work with?
Any other photog suggestions? Im looking for a great package (e-session, parent albums, proofs etc) under 5k...am I dreaming?

Re: Photographer help
I am using DUET...... 5 other couples that I know who are getting married or are married already are using them. I have seen their work and fell in love with it. I am using Alberto....... I was also able to look at the other photographers albums when I was there so I was able to get a better idea.
FM me for more info

I'm using F i n e A r t, they are not a vendor on here but I really am happy with them. I am paying less than 5k for photos. I must say the owner is a doll and they have been so helpful so far with any questions I may have. I think that they are worth looking into, good luck!

Re: Photographer help
I am using Duet! When you do your engagement session, that is a great time to get to know and establish a relationship with your photographer.
Sorry, I have no other suggestions as Duet are the only ones I met with

Re: Photographer help
I didn't meet with any of those, so I can't really help you. But, if you're looking for photo and video, I met with Proline and Silverfox and really liked them both. I can FM you the info if you'd like.
If you're just looking for a photographer, then I'd recommend J'Adore Love. They are so great, and willing to work within your budget. FM if you want that info too

Re: Photographer help
hi! im using KIM JIN HONG photo studios, there not a vendor on here but the were the first photographer i saw at a bridal showcase and yet the last place i went to look at for prices...and i ended up booking them. theyre awesome, their photos are beautiful, their video is like something ive never seen b4 and their prices arent too bad either...thy have several pkgs to choose from, im paying between 7-8k but im getting two engagement shoots (i formal and 1 casual), 2 photographers (day of), 2 videographers (day of) and for my albums: 2-11X14 albums (1 for engagement pics and 1 for wedding day pics) -i downgraded these albums from 12X17 books to save money... 2-5X7 parent albums -i also downgraded from 8X10 books to save money.. 3-designed posterboards... 2-20X24 pics 3-dvds fully edited w/ chapters 100-flush photo thank u's
u should def check them out, their website is kjhstudio.com they are located in fort lee new jersey, which for us was only a 25 min drive (well worth it) u pay less tax on the overall pkg becaus jersey is 7% and ny is 8.625% ad they give u A LOT of bang for ur buck!
i also checked out these photographers b4 booking with KJH...
Cassarino-didnt feel like the quality was there for the prices they were charging..
patken-good quality, high prices and they didnt give u alot in their pkgs
duet-great pkg and prices...quality not exactly what i was looking for..
ADA-ridiculously pricey and didnt give u alot in ur pkg
shewood triart- the WORST when it comes to pricey!!! but quality was awesome! lets just say i got quoted at 14k and i wasnt getting nearly as much as im getting with KJH.
good luck on ur hunt!

Re: Photographer help
I think you should call Imagine Studios. It's a husband and wife team...so you get to know who you are working with...and you know all the pics/video are from them. They are the nicest people and the work is amazing. FM me if you want more info!

Call or email Mark Kauffman at Angelica Studios. He's a vendor on here. His info he will give you will sell itself. All I can say is that his work is amazing, timeless, classic photojournalistic, you get two photographers no matter what you choose, and he guarantees at least 1,000 proofs.
