Photographer Help - Renaissance Studio

Hi,

Anyone use or know anything about Renaissance Studio in Smithtown? My FI and are having a really hard time making a decision and I couldn't find any reviews on them. It is between Renaissance and Artistic Images (I found 1 negative review on him).

Renaissance is more expensive but they seem to really know what they are doing, Artie is a good price and really cool, but he is a 1 man show and I read a negative review.

Any input would be really helpful.

TIA

Re: Photographer Help - Renaissance Studio

We went to see them... we didn't choose him because he seemed to be more of a portrait photographer and we wanted more photojournalistic photos, along with traditional... with the package he showed us, we would have to add another photographer and we were not able to see many photojournalistic photos- this could have changed since though-because my wedding was last year...

He seemed really good- just not what we were looking for

Have you checked out other photographers? Then you can compare what you like about him and the others...and cost too

I saw 12 photographers- and Ren. seemed expensive for what they were giving us...

Re: Photographer Help - Renaissance Studio

We saw about 5 different photographers and narrowed it down to these 2. We would be getting a lighting assistant that also takes photojournalistic pictures. With Artistic Images, he doesn't use a lightening assistant so we would be hiring the second photographer.

I have to say i'm in agreement with july06bride we saw several photographers include Ren. I didn't really care for them though. IMO the photos were ok but not what we were looking for either. They were definetely more portrait.

Plus I found their price list a little confusing. I wanted everything in a package deal not do this, add this etc.

I think it really depends on what style you're looking for. We went for more the photojournalistic style as well.
