Re: photographer must haves
Just wanted to let you know that a bride told me after her wedding she wished she didn't have such a comprehensive list. It was too overwhelming for the photographer and meant that he couldn't determine the important pics from the obvious ones. She advised me to take out the ones you're sure he will take like Groom with Groomsmen or Bride with Parents and make it more specific like Bride with great grandma or bride with readers, groom with step father etc.

Re: photographer must haves
ok..thanks..I hadnt thought of that!! whats scary is Ive heard from friends that even if it sounds obvious, put it down anyway because ya never know exactly if you and photogrpaher are on the same wave length..I do thinkmy photographer knows what hes doing, he seems AWESOME..so maybe I will take out the obvious ones and Ill keep a list for myself and if he missies what I think are imprtant, Ill just speak up! Thanks so much!!!

Re: photographer must haves
I know, I've heard that too After she told me this, I looked at the long list I made and realized there was no way my photographer could mark off all those pics and still be getting all the ones I want him too..in other words would he be checking stuff off instead of getting me laughing with my BMs?
I made up a long list like the one posted above, and I appointed a photo liason to hold the sheet and in case she notices any pics haven't been taken to let the photographer know. I also wanted to remind important guests before the wedding to make sure they get a pic with me. I think they will remember.

One suggestion I've heard on this - you can give the list to someone else (like a bridesmaid who knows your family well) and make sure they check off as you go - of course, this only applies to the posed photos before the reception because you don't want one of your guests to have to follow the photographer around all night!

Re: photographer must haves
I'm writing down that I want a pic of me with all my Hofstra friends at the reception to put in the alumni newsletter. We meant to do that at my friends wedding and before we knew it the wedding was over.
