Photographer payment question

Hi Ladies,

FH and I are still hammering out our budget and he didn't think the payment plan that we had with the photographer was correct (of course he didn't come with me my dad did) and he told me to come on here and find out what your payment plans are to compare.

How much of a deposit did you leave?
How much do you have to pay before the wedding?
And what is your balance due when you pick up your proofs?

Also is it when you pick up your proofs or your albums?

ok, we put down a 20% deposit, now 30% is due, 40% on or before the day and 10% after when we pick up our proofs. On the wedding day, 90% of the balance will already have been paid. Hope this helps.

Same here... I wonder too

ours got split up into thirds....
1/3 when i booked.... 1/3 when i meet with him about a week before the wedding to go over everything and 1/3 when i pick up my proofs-
i am not on LI so its not an LI photographer.... but hope i helped a little

ours is the same --and we are using a LI photographer...

Ours is in 1/3 portions also, though to book we initially paid $300, and then paid the remaining 1/3 balance when we met with him next to discuss the day.
