I am using Tewlfth Night. They have many different packages. The one I have is called Popular series. It was 1350. $500 deposit/ $466.44 due a month b4/ $500 due within a month after wedding.
Introductory Series $1075 Premier Series$1550
They have additional photographers and they do photojournal pics.

photo can range anywhere from $1,000 to $10,000++ It really depends what you are looking for... proofs only, albums, # hours, # of photogs, etc... there are so many variables...

They can definitely vary. If you are look for a true photojournalistic style photographer, I would definitely recommend Michael Rosengard of North Island Photography. I checked out a lot of photographers before I booked one and his photojournalistic style was beautiful. His price was $4500 for the day and your album. Anything we had added on additionally was very reasonably priced, moreso than other photographers. He just did my friend's wedding and her proofs are beautiful.

ETA: For the most part, the price range I got was $4,500 - $7,700 and that was for a digital coffee table album, a big portrait, 2 parent albums, 2 8x10's, 5 x7's for BP and 150 thank yous and an engagement sitting.

i'm using right angle studios.
$2995 for Wedding album, 2 parent albums, 2 8X10, 11X14 and like 100 thank you's. i get like 2 engagement sessions. i think there's more but i forgot. his work is great and he's the best! he makes you feel really comfortable. he uses digital so there's an unlimited amount of pics that he takes and you get ur proofs in an album.
i was trying to give myself a budget but i saw a lot of photographers and he was the best for his price. go check him out...

this is very true!!!! but my best advice is not to skimp on photography...it's all you have left after everything is said and done.
with that, here's my recs for photojournalistic photographers:
www.williwongphotography.com--amazing photojournalist. i believe his prices start at 3,900, not including albums.
www.somethinginblue.com ---true photojournalists in every sense of the word. some of the most beautiful photographs i've seen! i believe their prices start in the high 3,000, not including albums.
www.angelicaglass.com---very artistic and edgy photographer. i think her prices start at 3,500.

The only way to really tell how much you want to spend is to visit a lot of photographers. We wanted to spend less than 4k for photo but after seeing what pictures you get for that we weren't very impressed. So we ended up spending 5100 and then we added in video which came to a grand total of 7800. So think about what is most important to you and spend on that. I am definitely not going all out for flowers now.

god i'm getting so much stuff, i don't even know where to begin! umm, my photog is gary leli. he is great, very nice and talented-- and he worked with my budget which was awesome. i suggest meeting with him to see his books-- that's what really sold me!!! and his personality... very calming! anywho: i'm getting an album with 75 pics in it, unlimited coverage, gary as my photog along with another photog and video guy (3 people total), 2000+ proofs, 2 parent albums with 30 pics each in them, three 'brag' books (mini albums), and then a bunch of big pics (2 5x7, 2 8x10, 1 11x12, etc)... and video, 3 DVD's with a photo collage and stuff-- there's so many things that i cannot remember all of them, 200 thank you cards, it goes on-- but that's the jist of it. i'm paying 4,000 for photo and 1,300 for video-- which is a lot cheaper than a lot of other places i priced FOR WHAT I'M GETTING.... so HTH
