Photographer Question

Photographer Question

I'm just starting to look at photographers and I have a question. Is it better for a photographer to use digital or regular film?
Also FH really wants a photojournalist - he loves the black and white candid shots. Can I just hire a photojournalist as my second photographer?

Also any good recommendations? I was thinking about looking into 12th night, Perceptions, Silverfox.

Re: Photographer Question

digital can take more pictures than film plus they can make more creative pictures with it.

just make sure that your photographers back up their files to ensure that the pictures are safe.

we booked with duet and it consisted one photojournalist and one traditional photographer.

have fun!

Re: Photographer Question

ADA photography has a package that has 1 regular photographer and 1 photojournalistic so you get both type of pics. I got am amazing package trought them, they offer sooooo many extras. If you would like more info feel free to fm me.

Re: Photographer Question

My mom met someone from ADA at the LIW Show and loved them, they are just far from where we are in Long Island and I wasn't sure about the drive to see them, but I guess that's such a lazy approach. I will contact them and see if they are available for my date. I do love their work!

Where do you live? They have like 4 different locations

We just booked with Silverfox and FH and I are so incredibly happy with our decision that we don't even know what to do with ourselves. We're getting the main photographer and photojournalist, AND two videographers. If you have any questions, drop me a line. I can't gush enough about these guys. Their work looks amazing and the people there are SO nice.

Oh do they? I live out in Williston park - right near MIneola.
I only saw the Wading River address for them.

The Woodbury location wouldn't be so bad. I sent them an e-mail to see if they are open for my date. Thanks for the suggestion!

ditto me too. their pictures are gorgeous. one other photographer was in the top running, but their packages were a bit of our budget.

Re: Photographer Question

I have contacted 12th night, I'm going to call them for a phone inquiry since they can't meet me on a weekend and I can't be up there for a weekday since I live in Philly.
Tonight I sent e-mails to ADA, Perceptions, and Imagine Studios, duet, and I'm going to call Silverfox tomorrow since they didn't have an e-mail address on their website. Thank you everyone for your help in this!

Re: Photographer Question

My FH loves the photojournalism too, so we are most likely going to have to get a second photographer for that. We still haven't booked a photographer though - hopefully soon!
