I really need to get a move on with planning this wedding. All I've done is booked Church- rh - fh confirmation- and diff church.
For photographers-what should I look for? What did you make sure was included in your contract? Any reasonable places out there? Everyone I'm contacting are priced through the roof and their works not that great. Any places that do video also?? ty

Re: Photographer ?? question
As to whats included: thats a personal preferance. You may or may not want parent albums. I would def. make sure you get all of your proofs on a disc...then you can have them printed when you want.
I booked with Duet and cannot stop raving about them. I just got back my epics and they came out fabulous- I'm in love with them. They are very reasonable and my package also includes video.
Good luck!!

I'm using Proline for both photo and video. I think their prices are reasonable, but it also depends on what your budget it. I know the owner, Ed, personally, so FM me if you want more info. Like I said, it depends on your budget, but he's definitely willing to work around your budget to make things work for you.
In our package we get the following (with a few changes, as he's doing very well by me since we know each other): 70 Pic 8x12 bridal album (2) 30 pic 5x7 parent albums (1) 20x24 portrait (2) 11x14 (10) 5x7 100 thank yous all proofs high res cd 2 photographers (1 is a photojournalist)
And the video package: full coverage of ceremony and reception state of the art digital camera wireless microphones 6 chapters fully studio edited w/ digital special effects opening picture sequence digital titles & graphics music overlays recap ending (3) DVDs or VHS tape

We are using Ashwall Studios they are running a promo at the moment and the guys are very nice. Video and pics are included and if you want to upgrade afterwards you always can. The only thing is you only get 1 photographer and 1 videographer but they are very budget friendly and have been in business for a long time. If you want their info FH me.

I am using Duet. You can make your own package with whatever YOU want and they'll price accordingly. Plus, you can get things thrown in on top of that. What you want is a personal preference. A lot of girls don't get albums made and that saves a lot of money. Personally, a professional wedding album is very important to me so that is in my package. There are a lot of ways to save. You don't need to get parent albums, you can make those yourself. You can get something better in return for an engagement shoot. Duet is great because you get full copyright of all your pictures so you are free to do whatever you want with your proofs.
I would get moving on this because so many photographers book up even 1.5 years in advance! Good Luck!

Check out Paul Marino. His work is fantastic and, in my opinion, his prices are reasonable. He'll customize a package, too, so you're not stuck paying for things you don't want. For example, I didn't want the 16 x 24 enlargement that would have been included, so we were able to substitute other things, instead.

Thanks ladies. What a big help. I just was wondering because people said they remembered things after the contracts signed. I got worried I would do that.

Re: Photographer ?? question
i definetly wanted parent albums... also i really wanted a 'brag book' which most photographers i met with said they would throw in for free - which is just a small version of our wedding album that i can carry around in my purse!!! We booked with Cassarino's and they also do video. Big Raz is AWESOME to deal with - very helpful since we're out of state and can't make it back to NY much...
