so...I wanted to book Artisan as my photographer, but I really dragged my heels because I work in retail and I took a brief hiatus from planning over Nov./Dec. and now he is booked!
Does anyone recommend a photgrapher that has a good mix of photojournalistc and traditional..that will stay basically the whole time (no time constraints) and is somewhat reasonable. I am thinking around the $3000. to $4500. range.
Thanks for any help.

North Island Photography...Mike's work is amazing...he is also a vendor on here, if you want to check out his work. Also do a search, there are several brides that have used him and have posted his work in their reviews. Good luck!

I recommend Brett Matthews
We used them for our wedding in July and cannot rave enough about them. We loved our photographer and our proofs were amazing!

Re: photographer questions
we booked Artisan - but I think Velvet Studio, Verdi and Spelman have awesome work. Good luck!
interesting post about Velvet...i got a rate sheet that started at $4,000...it kind of bothers me that some of you girls got sheets with packages that were less. He also told me a lower rate on the phone and told me that those rates ($3400) don't exist.
His work is beautiful, don't get me wrong, but this all seems a little off to me.

My package I think is about $3800 with traditional albums though. The other style albums (magazine/coffe table) were more expensive - maybe you got the rate sheet for that.

I am using Pro Line. I loved their work. I was going to meet with Duet but I was hesitant b/c they have only been in business for 2 years.

We're using Velvet! When I went he had two different sheets... one was for 1 photographer and one was for 2 photographers.
