What are some good questions to ask when you go on photography interviews?

- Are you the person who will be photographing my wedding the day of?
- If there is an emergency, do you have a backup photographer and can I see their work as well?
- How many years have you been in business?
- What kind of equipment do you use? What editing program?
- Do you have back up equipment in case yours fails?
- Will you have an assistant? Will this assistant also be taking pictures?
- What is the turn around time for proofs after the wedding?
Obviously, ask to see samples of their work (portraits, albums, etc).

do you have rights to your pictures or will you have to buy the rights?
What will time time line look like if your wedding starts at blank time?
Does the package come with an album?
Does the package come with an engagement session, day after session?
How long will the photographer stay?
What is the turn around time?
How many weddings will they be shooting on your wedding day?

I also made sure that we'll get a CD with every picture taken, no extra charge. Some photographers will only give you the pics you chose for your album and the proofs are written across so that you can't upload or use them.
