I have made appts for the following photographers: Sherwood Triart Cassarino ******** Martone Brothers, Inc
Can anyone suggest some that are good and not that expensive? I don't want to spend 10K on my pics and video. I was told that is the going rate.

I booked with Patken. I know they are a recommended vendor by Jericho Terrace.
For video and photography, my package came out to less than $6,000.

My advice . . make sure you do not rush into getting any vendors. You definitely have time so take advantage of it and compare away. You want to get the most for your money.
On that note, I recommend Andreas Rentsch and Peter Jacobson if you are going for the photojournalistic feel. They both take amazing pictures. Both are priced at about 3k.

Agreed. Don't rush on the photographer. Its the most important vendor JMO. I booked in Dec. for my 7/7/07 wedding!

i LOVED sherwood the minute i walked into their studio they are a bit pricey but their work is awsome and the pics are important to me so thats the part i was willing to spend extra money on i'd say go with them if you can afford it.
