So my friend works at a Photograpy studio and recommended the person he works for, but they charge around $4000 (and that's with a friend discount!) Is is just me or is that a lot? That includes negatives, a parents album for each side and one for us as well as engagement portraits. Any photographer recommendations?

My photographer is about the same in price, and it includes everything but the e-pics, but we get to keep all of the proofs and they don't say anything accross the photos, instead of the e-pics, about 1-2 months before the wedding we go in all dressed up with my hair and maek-up done in white and FH in black, and have test pics taken to check that everything is going to look good.

Lots of my friends have used FSPHOTO and have been very pleased. They have an extensive website with tons of photos plus they include photojournalism with their packages.
Twelfth Night is fantastic! If you do a search on them you will read so many wonderful things about them. Domenick is a sweetie and so is everyone else who works there. They were the first and only photographers I saw and booked them on the spot. You will love them!
I am using Timeless Creations video and photography is under 4k. HTH

We're getting more than that for less than $4000- not much less, but less! Check out Right Angle Studios- George is great and his work is really good! Right Angle

Camelot Studios! A little on the pricey side for a comprehensive package but does OUTSTANDING work and is a pleasure to work with!!!

I paid 5K for Photo and Video with Duet. We have two photographers and a video guy. The price you were quoted is on average for just pictures.

I agree why do photographers have to be sooo expensive. I am in between two right now and one I absolutely love - does amazing work but is expensive & is giving me a hard time so we have one more meeting with them tomorrow to see if they can reach my budget if not I will be going with my second choice who I absolutely LOVE as well & does amazing work.

I am paying a little of 5,000 for both photo and video with books for us, both parents and granparent brag books. Along with 3 DVD videos. All negative and proofs.
