Andrea...just something to think about...

Hi Andrea, I booked Patken (the one in Mineola) for my photography. I thought the prices were reasonable (around $3000) and the work I saw was great. But I didn't go with there video, I thought it was over-priced ($1000 for a standard video). I'm going to their Smithtown office for my engagement portrait next week - I'll let you know how it goes. We booked Patken in Lindenhurst. I loved there work. My friend used them and loved what she received. Another friend of hers booked them also. She used Doug Patken, the owner. He wasn't available for ours so we got Frank.

Another thing I liked about Patken was there custom albums.

We looked at Jeffrey Studios in Nesconset and didn't really care for them. To me they were to posed. We wanted some candids, not all classic poses.

Andrea- We selected Gray Studio as our photographer because we truly liked their albums the best (candid and posed). It is true that they are not flexible- essentially it is "take it or leave it". As part of our search, we also looked into Jeffrey Studios. My fiance's cousin used them as her photographer and her pictures are beautiful- however they are all posed with no candids (which is what I wanted the most). Jeffrey Studios are very negotiable and will work with you (we thought they had the best package for the price)...hope this helps. Good Luck!

I just wanted to pass this info along to everyone. I found a website called www.bestcameras.com where you can purchase the disposable cameras for $9.95 each. That price INCLUDES the developing. Also, you can custom design the camera casing for $10.95 per camera (including your own design if we are that creative!)

I went to over 30 photographers. I am very maticulous. without a doubt Patken was the best . priced right in the middle, but work was much different than usual. Custom albums will blow your mind. Good luck

I did that for my MoH - and in the photos, it blended nicely

I also booked Patken and my package is $2600 (a combo album which included 47 photos (8x10s/8x8s/ 10x10s/1 - 5 page mix /1 - panoramic). We're also getting 8 - 5x7 for the bridal party / 1 - 11x14 / 1 20x20 / 2 8x10 / all proofs / 1 engagement portrait / 2 Parent albums with 12 5x5s / 110 Thank you Cards). I

I was very impressed with their work, every album had a mix of black & whites/color and candids which was exactly what we wanted. They didn't looked fake or posed.

I didn't go with their video it was a little pricey for something so standard.
