I've been reading a lot of different posts and was wondering if it is a bad idea to work with a company that specializes in both photo and video? I would think it would be easier and probably more cost effective. I don't want to keep running around to different vendors.

I think it just makes everything a lot easier if you use a vendor that does both. We're going with Duet and they do beautiful work.

Re: Photographer & Videographer together?
It is easier but I dont think all the time it is necessarly cheaper. For example in my case the studio I am using offered photo packages separate from video packages. The quality of the video was amazing but It was not the style I was looking and the price was over my budget.
I usings a different vendor for video and I saved $500 and it is the exact style I wanted.

I hear mixed things... but I believe that although it gets more expensive.. I prob will go seperate.
Then again I have no idea... I just fell in love with a photog and although Im shopping I have a feeling that Barnaby Draper is my guy for photos

I would definitely recommend using a company that offers both services .... they will work better together on the day-of.

We are using Duet for both. I thought their work was great and we were really happy. Plus one less vendor I have to worry about.

Im also using a duo - ProLine Studios & they are amazing! Everything I saw was unreal. I also think its better to hav ethe same company because they work well together & wont get in each others way.

Re: Photographer & Videographer together?
i'm using Imagine Studios for photo and video. They're a husband and wife team. I can't wait to work with them! I didn't really think I was going to do video at all, but then i was convinced that i'll regret it if i didn't.

Re: Photographer & Videographer together?
We're using Thomas Paul for both photo and video. We really like Tom and he's shot weddings at my church before so he knows what works and what doesn't.
