Photographer- What do you think?

I met with 3 photography vendors so far and I just got quoted for what I think is a great price, does this sound about right?:

10-12 hr day, 1 photographer, 1 videographer
E-pic
20x20 portrait
11x11 portrait
3- 8x8 portraits
16 5x7 for bridal party
100 save the dates
100 thank yous
11x14 bride and groom album
all proofs in 5x5 album + CD of images

4 dvd's edited + 1 master unedited version

It comes out to $4050 including taxes. I thought that was a great price. I haven't met with Duet yet but I heard that they also have great prices. What do you ladies think?

Wow, that price sounds great. I paid more with Duet, it came out to around 5200 w/o thank you cards, epics, or individual size portraits. They did throw in a 11x18 enlargement and an 8x8 enlargement. Our proofs came in three discs, it was approx. over 800 images, 11x18 album, and 3 edited videos. We booked 1 photographer, 1 videographer for 10-hr. day. Their work was phenomenal and we loved how the photos and video came out. Everything looked beautiful. I would suggest to look at the person's work rather than pricing. If you feel their work is superb than go with them.

Yeah, I'm still not to sure. I'm starting to have second thoughts. It's hard picking a photographer. How many pictures did you get in your album? I guess I will see how my meeting with duet goes.

I think I know who you met with b/c it sounds like the same package as mine. I sent you FM. I ended up having second thoughts as well b/c they are not truly my style...but honestly their quality is amazing and you ask for the photos you want. For that price, it's awesome really !! I was going to go with another photographer but for almost 3,000 more, artisticly it was just not THAT different.

The 2 photo i met with one was $5000 for a comparable package and one was a little more!

I'd look around a bit more. Your wedding is not until 2011. It's not only about the price. Sometimes we get hung up on the price ( I'm guilty of this too) & end up with some un-professional whoever. You really need to be sure in your gut. You don't want to spend your day with person that could ruin it for you with a bad atitude.The photos is all we will have left when it is all said & done. Take alook at a post yesterday from carissa1643. Perhaps she got a good price, now she's got the bules..........sad.

Yeah, you are right. That's exactly what I said to my FH. At the end of the day I really fell in love with another photography vendor, we just are not getting as much but I may go with them anyway because I no I won't regret it. Thanks for the advice.

Go the the photographer that you 'fell in love' with and tell them that you want all of this. . . they should be able to work with you!

Thats def the same photographer I used. They were amazing and the price is unbeatable. People confused me up until that day saying negative things and my pictures are beyond what I ever imagined.

It sounds good...not GREAT, but definitely not bad. I would keep looking a bit more...there are other companies out there that can give you virtually the same price, but with more photographers, more albums, etc.
