Photographers

Ok ladies, I know this topic has been discussed a MILLION times, but I really need your help. I'm trying to limit the number of photographers I meet with to 3, but there are so many on here that get good reviews, I'm having a hard time deciding. Here is who I'm looking at so far: Duet, 12th Night, Patken, Proline, Perceptions and Glenmar.

Is there anyone that can help me narrow it down? Who did you meet with and why or why not did you like their style?

Which place is reasonable in cost?

Thank you!!!!

Everyone seems to love Duet and 12th Night. I was concerned about the language barrier with Duet but the photos are gorgeous so I guess it isn't an issue. I think both of them are very reasonable. I've heard mixed reviews about Proline. Although they are recommended by my hall I didn't choose to meet with them.

ETA: Hate to add another one to your list. I'm using Leli Photography - they are fabulous!

Both my FSIL's used Glenmar.

my main reason for choosing them is that they are Recommended by the Swan Club, and they know how to take great pics there.

They gave me a great price becuase we know so many people that used them.

We just did our engagement pics on saturday - I should get the proofs next week - i'll let you know how they turn out!

eta: My sister used Proline and her pics were NOT good....

eta: I have two friends who used Spelman Photography. Her Pics came out stunning!

I've heard good things about most of the ones you posted. Definitely check out Artisan too.

My Sister used Patken 3 years ago and Iove her pics.. plus Steve & Kevin were so nice and helpful the day of.

But the other places you mentioned have great reviews on this site.

I used Duet. I was worried about the language barrier as well (not so much them, but that my DH would kill them b/c he would have to keep asking them to speak up)

But they really are lovely people and they did AMAZING work. I am the type of person who has 50 thousand questions (and still do, I am working my album) and they are always helpful and respond quickly. They email, fax and deal on the phone.

I really would recommend them to anyone. My girlfriend who got married in 2002 told me this weekend that she keeps the scanned copies in her inbox to look at them and they make her so jealous!

Re: Photographers

I am using Duet. They gave me the best deal over Patken, Ferlise, SilverFox, Fine Art, and Cassarino.
