photographers

i got reccomendations from friends about cassarino studios and patken. are they comparable. i am interested in black and white, candids, photojournalism, and the traditional posed stills. any other reccomendations. my budget is around 5k. thanks

I would do a search on here. There have been many threads about Cassarino and Patken. Not all posts have been favorable.

Mark Kauffman has some very talented photograpers. He includes 2 photographers, tons of proofs and lots of unique shots. I highly recommend his studio. He also allows you to create your own packages, there are no pre-set ones.

I used Cassarino and I have no complaints about them at all!! My pictures came out beautiful and I loved my photographer -- he took some amazing shots!!! I went to the one in Mineola.

Check out somethinginblue.com. I booked them for October. They are a husband and wife, the take color and black and white. Very creative and true photojournalistic stlye photography. Pretty reasonable too, I think we are spending 3,400?. Good Luck

I used Patken, and I LOVE my album. My sister used them for her wedding 2 years ago, and loved her pics too, and I knew that I wanted them too. You have to go to a few different photographers and see who you like the best, and go with your gut feeling.

We booked Paul Marino we liked his work and personality. Our packge is about $3400.

I second Mark Kaufman's studio, I just got my proofs back and love them! They did all the types you described. We got about 800 proofs and now have to choose for our album! Its going to be tough!!!!

I am using Maria Celeste...not your typical wedding photographer, alot of B&W and candids, etc. She is also a very sweet person as well...my most favorite vendor by far!!!
