Can anyone suggest a good photographer? I want someone who will fit in with the flow of the day as opposed to someone just barking orders and poses at me...i'm so not into having my picture taken...lol
Also, is it necessary to have a videographer? Are they seperate or do they come with your photo pkg??

Re: Photographers
i booked with patken photography for photo and video. you can opt out of the video if you would like. from what i've read on the boards, they tend to be pretty unobtrusive. check out their website to see whether you like their photography style. you should also read the boards and see what other people have to say about their photographers. a good place to search is on brides review cause they've already been through it. good luck!

Re: Photographers
I agree. Patken is what i want to look into, there are a few reviews from brides who used them, and they show the pictures. their website is www.patkenphotographer.com I don't know how they are priced or how their photographers are but their work looks really good

Re: Photographers
i booked with golden moments for both video and photo. I thought Dan and Pat were real comfortable to be around and I love their work!
I also HATE the idea of people taking pics of me, etc - so I think the most important thing is to find someone who makes you comfortable!

I definitely agree... I'm not sure what your budget is, but Something in Blue might be a good choice for you.

I booked with Golden Moments too. I completely agree about being comfortable with your photo/video people. They are following you around all day and of all the vendors they spend the most time with you during the day. My FH hates taking photos and when Dan and Pat did our engagement shoot, he was completely comfortable. They didn't really pose us and pretty much told us to chat and do whatever and the photos still came out beautiful. Their work is also not the traditional super-posed shots. I have some of the engagement shots in my album.

I am usiing Jovan...love thier work.. You can get away without a video if you want, it is an add-on. But...i said the same thing, i did not want one. But, everyone said it was the best thing. and the people who did not get it, told me they regret it, b/c they only have pics. It's up to you! I went with it, hopefully I will love it! Good luck!

Re: Photographers
I'm using twelfth night, we just got a really great vibe from the owner, dominic. They are very laid back and mostly photojournalistic (which is what it sounds like you want) and I hear they are unobtrusive, I can't speak from experience, I'm not married yet. I definitely recommend them, FM me if you want more info.
