PHOTOGRAPHERS

Re: PHOTOGRAPHERS

My fiance and I looked at 7 photog places and decided on Silverfox. They showed us albums done by most of their available photographers for our date and we could pick whomever we liked.
You could book them for just shooting the pictures and they included 4x6 proofs with that and hires dvd. Alot of other places would'give' you the negatives onl;y if you bought a large eniugh album; if not you paid for them on a sliding scale.
Silverfox also will freeze the album prices as of the date you sign your contract. so since we did that Nov 06 we have 2006 prices and we can decide after the wedding if we want them to do the album or if we DIY.
The 2006 price for 10 hrs was 1500 and 1000 for a photojournalist 2nd photog - - or $600 for 4 hrs. The albums priced from about $500 tp 1500+.
So that is nowhere near the quote you got. considering video might be another 2k.

Some other places in the running went to about $3500 for 1 photog and included an album w about 40 pics magazine stlye. One such who did really nice stuff was Artisan but he would charge xtra for touchups for glare on our glasses which could get costly and which is why we didnot book with him.

we're having 2 photographers, 1200 minimum amount of photos. and that includes video.

Thanks, now the price makes sense bec of the second photo and with video. I made an app with them next month to view their work and go over packages. I really want them, lol

they are totally worth it. I had to beg a bit (my family is paying for everything) their work is just so amazing (sherwood triart) our package will probably be more than 9k because we want overtime. probably just a few more 100 though. even their studio is nice. that and the great pictures sold my grandma who gave a deposit, plus they threw in a free picture for her. def try to neg with them.

I will try to negociate bec I really want to use them. I saw their work a couple of times and at a showcase and they sent me something in the mail and I was like 'WOW'. Plus they are my RH recommend vendor and I want to stick with that. I would def want 2 photo and video and 1200 photos are a good amount of pics, maybe a little more, plus the digital, photojournalsim etc etc . Kevin was going over some prices with me over the phone. Have you meet with him, who is good over there?

That's odd because a teacher in my school used them for a few weddings in her family and raved about them both service and price wise, but that's a lot more than we are spending for both of those!

that's who we met with! kevin was great. he was soooo funny. if it's the same Kevin. it probably is. they've been in the business for years also. anytime I loved photos at a rh I'd ask who it was and it'd be sherwood triart.
