Photographers

After massive headaches with the photographer we booked, we're considering starting all over again. Problem is, we had certain expectations for package and price point (as you do once a contract is signed), and for the sake of our budget, kinda need to stick with them...

Does anyone have recommendations for photographers who do great work (we prefer the photojournalistic style for the most part) AND will price match?

Our package was $3,000 for:

Full Day Coverage with Lighting Assistant/Second Shooter
4x6 proofs (not watermarked)
3 DVDs of all Proofs with Photo Release
4 8x10s
2 11x14s
14 5x7s (for bridal party)
Engagement Portrait Sitting w/ DVD and Photo Release
9x12 album with acrylic inlay (70 images)
All images retouched and can be b&w, sepia or colorized

We were reallllllly budgeted, and we were able to come up with a photo AND video package with Fade to Black that not only fit into what we could afford, but was a ton more than other places would offer. I say give Gil a call and see if he could work with you.

Have you checked out Patken? They will work with you and help you customize a package for your needs. We got a ton of stuff from them!!!!! Can't hurt to give them a call. Good luck!

You can try Liz from White Pair. Maybe try explaining your situation and fustration with the first photographer and they might be willing to work with you.

I used Steve at Patken and I LOVE LOVE LOVE my photos. He was also great to have around the day of your wedding. My sister still says can Steve just follow up around all day every day taking pictures of us!
